Contrary to the information from UMJ's customer service a couple of months ago, John Mayall SHM-SACD is in stereo. Disappointed but the mono version Gold CD by Audio Fidelity is available any time now.

Humble Pie "Smokin'" has been cancelled. Never mind, there's another SACD version mastered by Kevin Grey.

The release date for Kinks "Village Green..." and Stevie Wonder "Songs in the Key of Life" has been pushed back to 26 January 2011.

The official site once said that Beggar's Banquet by the Rolling Stones would use UK original analogue tapes but in fact that's not the case. As you can see on the official site now, they will use 2002 DSD master.

The replacement disc of Rinbow's Long Live Rock 'n' Roll will be dispatched from 9 November to customers who bought a first press and made a claim to UMJ (or the seller you bought it from).

Gaucho SHM-SACD got approval from the artist and now all set for November release. It sounds real smooth and analogue like.

UMJ kicks off "Buy 4, Get 1 Free" campaign on 27 Oct. It ends on 31 Dec. 2010. By sending 4 obi-s of the SHM-SACD with the return postage to UMJ, you can get a SHM-SACD for free. Obi-s will be returned to you with a stamp on their back so that they cannot be used for multiple applies. However UMJ only send a free copy to domestic address. Of course if you dare to take a chance, I'll do it for you.

Titles for December release, including Songs in the Key of Life by Stevie Wonder, have been announced officially.

The Stevie Wonder album originally comprises 2 LPs and 1 EP but at the moment it's priced as same as for other rock SHM-SACDs: 4,500 yen a pop at HMV.jp.

The official site says that Beggar's Banquet by the Rolling Stones will use UK original analogue tapes. Same to Goodbye Yellow Brick Road by Elton John and Village Green by the Kinks.

The original stereo mix of Steely Dan's Gaucho in its entirely will be available in DSD for the first time, on the SHM-SACD to be released on 27 Oct. 2010. (but it looks like its release date is now pushed back to 24 Nov.)

The SHM-SACD of John Mayall & the Blues Breakers with Eric Clapton uses UK original mono master tapes.
